Run Time:  1 hour 29 minutes (89 minutes)

Before Friday the 13th or Halloween or even Jaws, my first exposure to the horror genre was watching bits and pieces of the 1982 motion picture, Alligator.  In this movie, a killer alligator with a murderific appetite rampages the sewers and streets of Chicago. This film packs both suspenseful scenes and witty dialogue in its 88 minutes.  Despite making one of the campiest (but entertaining) kills I have ever seen on film, the namesake beast in this film is portrayed as ferocious as Jaws or (any other better featured creature) throughout.  It is amazing what work can be done with a $1.75 Million budget.
