I don’t know if I got the overall joke of this Andy Warhol/Paul Morrisey movie.  The costumes and sets were lavish, in contrast to the innards displayed throughout the film and the conditions they were subjected to.  There were parts where I smiled and nodded but overall the excessive gore of this film feels unnecessary at points.   Such was the case of masturbating and penetrating the unstitched torso wound of “the female zombie.”  Some of the lines were written and delivered woodenly but I know that was to add to the camp factor.  In conclusion, the film was fine but I would not watch it again.
