According to Wikipedia, many critics have hailed Dance of the Dead as one of the best horror comedies of 2008.  It must have been a very slow year for the genre as I do not see what the fuss is about.  To me it is an MTV style film with MTV post 2000s pop music.  Sure there is some character development.  Some of the scenes are funny.  Some of the actors, such as Capobianco and Welborn were great in their roles. But, this film seems to have an identity crisis; it is like  a poppish MTV film with its music, atmosphere, script, and cadre of young actors yet it is also trying hard to have edge with random expletives thrown in.  Is this a parody of White suburban culture or an example of it?  I guess it could be both.  Not bad but not spectacularly awesome.  I mean it beats the Cave but  its no Cockneys vs Zombies.   You will probably like it if you are a hipster and need an ironic fix.
